Total performer is the title onlookers would give Mausami Gurung, and she is all that. A forceful presence on stage, she compensates her petiteness with immaculate singing and superb stage presence. Add to this the entorouge consisting of Sheela Aley, Purshottam Neupane, model cum acttress Samjhana Budhathoki and the dance troop of Madan Thapa, it was destined to burn the stage. The occasion was the 16th anniversary of RGR musical program in Brunei.

Non residential Nepalese had just one word to describe the whole experience, “WOW!!” The organizing committee were really impressed and are thinking of doing a second installment, very soon. Anu Gurung, one of the audience members, couldn’t keep her excitement, “It was so surreal, Mausami was so good. It was nice to hear Nepali songs and our artiste are indeed talented. We are proud of you guys.” Such was the energy and craze, the event had to be stopped momentarily to control the crowd when Mausami started singing, “Machchi Marana”. And after continuous hooting for an encore, Mausami didn’t have any choice but to please the audience with a second performance of both “Machchi Marana” and “Chyangba Hoi Chyangba” Shila Aley and Purshotam Neupane’s cheeky Dohari songs were also equally effective in garnering equal response from the crowd.

And after five hours of complete entertaining, all the artists called a wrap for one of their most successful concerts expressing their gratitude towards the audience. They were beyond happy to be accepted by the NRNs in Brunei.
