Recently our path crossed with a very fresh and recharged Nabin K. Bhattrai who was, as usual, candid, approachable and very down to earth - trademark of a true star. And yes! We couldn’t help but wonder out loud, “What’s with the glow? Is that LOVE or dove?” Bhattrai responded, tongue in cheek, “No, no on both accounts… Sorry to disappoint you guys. I guess it must be the recent tour to Australia. It was a much needed break and I always love to perform. It’s the best feeling, period” a smile spread across his face as he finished his sentence. Obviously the trip to land down under has been most fruitful, cheers to that!

One of the fans, she claims to be the biggest one, confided to us, “Nabin is so good, loved his performance and Wow!! Didn’t know he could play guitar so well…” Apparently he did serenade fans with a rare performance, where he strummed his own guitar and belted out couple of English tunes, just so you know Bhattrai is a huge hard rock fan. And that reminds us, fans all around, you can be a part of Bhattrai’s life if you are on facebook. We have gotten official confirmation; the fan club is very much real and managed by the man himself. Ah! technology, isn’t it a beauty in itself? Just search the name and you’ll find him, last time we checked there were 4000 plus fans already giving their thumbs up.

That brings us to another bit of news; Bhattrai was all praises about this video posted by Sundeep, one of his many ardent fans, it’s for “Timilai Mann Paraunchu” the song from his latest album “Nakshatra”. Bhattrai all smiles had this to say, “It was so well made, I was shocked. Thank you for your effort Sundeep. Appreciate it man!” Acknowledgement from your idol, now ain’t that sweet? But then that’s Bhattrai for you, repeating the repeated - “he’s candid, approachable and very down to earth” trademark of a true star, if you ask us.
