Hat’s Off to Amrita’s Motivation
February 4th, 2010
Fashion and modeling has been popular and practiced profession among actors, actresses, models etc as well as persons who are physically attractive.Traditionally Fashion designers around the world create their designs concentrating on likes, needs and requirements of normal healthy people who consist of the majority of population all over the world. But in this busy profession; the needs, likes and desires of the minority of people are mostly left alone and forgotten or neglected. If we can create such
atmosphere to bring the eye and vision of the designers to these minorities as well then the need and interest of the present day society can be achieved at the fullest. Finally both the parties can make up a win-win situation as designers will get new sector of market and the minority sector can feel its presence in the main stream.
The idea behind Amrita’s initial step in modeling is to give designers, fashion houses, advertisement agencies, modeling agencies to have a thought about these forgotten communities as well and make their area broader.
Amrita is a brought up child of SOS Children’s Village Jorpati. SOS Children¹s Village Jorpati is a non profit, non government organization working for orphaned children with disabilities. It is one of the nine SOS Children¹s Villages running in Nepal. Under the management of SOS Children¹s Village Nepal, it has served the needy children for more than 25 years.
Currently Amrita has other responsibility as the focal person of National Network of People with Spinal Cord Injury. It is a network among people with Spinal Cord Injury. It has the objective of creating general awareness among the spinally injured people about the positive living subsequent to a traumatic injury which has changed their lives forever.
Amrita will give space to modeling on and off if opportunities knock the door but she is also serious about her studies too. She has completed her plus two and is going to be a student of psychology in Tri-Chandra College, Gantaghar. The College made a special arrangement and gave their commitment in inclusion of a wheelchair user as their student. She wants to be a professional psychologist in future.
Amrita also wanted to deliver an important message that person with disabilities should wear disabled friendly cloths and fabric. Therefore her loud message with her this endeavor is for the people with spinal cord injury that cotton fabric is the choice of cloth that transpires friendly to their health.
At CyberSansar.com, this is an small effort from our side, which we are proud of - bringing Amrita to participate in the mainstream modeling business.
