Tell your story in moving pictures…
January 28th, 2010
Your concept can turn into a movie…time you brainstorm and pitch your ideas to the gang of Short Film Factory, SFF a collaborative project of Harke-Films and Docskool. If you’re interested in making movies, a short film is a great way to get your feet wet. In the digital age, the popularity of short films is immense. And don’t let the word “short” mislead you, they are not a lesser form of cinematic storytelling, in fact film lovers love them for its compact, no nonsense approach to STORIES; the heart of any movie.
The SFF is an independent film label formed to support the production and development of short films made with the intention to generate sustainability for the filmmaker and produce short films for economic viability in Nepal. Filmmakers from all fields of life are invited to pitch concepts to the SFF all year round, which upon the selection by Docskool will be funded by SFF, and the finished product will be then marketed by Harke- Films.
“Short Film Factory Project /10″ will feature the work of directors, Pooja Gurung, Kshitiz Adhiraj and Abhinash Bikram Shah who have been selected through a competitive concept pitch between various professional young filmmakers held in December. You can find more on this at their official portal: www.sffn.docskool.org
If you dream of seeing a story of your own creation on the silver screen someday, why not accept the challenge and put that story up there yourself? Or maybe utilize the platform provided by Short Film Factory Project.
Use your weapons. Play with your ideas. Play with the form. And let your imagination fly…
