There were some times when it was like drought in our industry with no good productions coming out or not coming out at all. But now, it’s a delight to let you know that the scenario has changed!! Whole lot of artists, new as well as old, have been working hard on their projects, hoping to please the audience with some swell stuff. We have already introduced you so many albums so far and the list just continues. Well, the one we’re presenting this time is “Grantha”, the second effort by Bibash Poudel. In his last record, Bibash had offered you some slow soothing, sentimental songs. You surely appreciated it. He’s happy for that but in his latest set, he wants us try something new…more like a mixture of Folk, Pop and R&B. Yes, the singer has tried his best to provide us with a variety of genres.

You could call it more of an experimental project. If you don’t recall, he’s releasing the new album after a period of four years and the reason for such a long period, he didn’t want to depend on others. So he learnt to do everything himself, from arranging to mixing. Our guy here took care of all the technicalities for his album as well as the creative processing. Very impressive…

He’s contributed to both lyrics and composition section with a little help from Sugam Pokhrel and Bhupendra Khadka. The album, which is scheduled to be released within two weeks, contains eight new songs, plus two from the previous set and two music tracks. Its first music video for the single “Timi Gayau” has also been completed successfully and you’ll be getting to catch it real soon…like in two-three days.

What we must be glad about the artists these days is they aren’t limited to being called just “pop stars”. They try their hands on things from outside the box, for instance, contributing to music scores for movies. A productive development indeed and of course, Bibash also falls under the category. Currently, he’s handling the scores for three films. Good going, brother! Anyway, you don’t have to wait much longer until his fresh material comes out. So, simply get ready to expect the new Bibash Poudel in town.
