Am stable. Please, don’t get confused!

On New Year’s Eve, the promising composer Nhyoo Bajracharya felt uneasy in his chest after he woke up. He however tried to keep himself calm and hoped he would be fine in a while. But the chest pain rather went nastier. Though he was suffering a massive chest pain, he pretended to be fine in front of his wife Sunima Bajracharya to keep her away from mental stress. But he could not hide the pain any longer for he started to sweat. Upon complaining about the chest pain, Sunima asked him to visit Norvic Hospital in Thapathali for a checkup. By 10:30 o’clock, Nhyoo and Sunima were already at the emergency ward of Norvic.
“Nhyoo drove the car himself and he looked fine till we reached the hospital,” said Sunima.
The hospital’s cardiologist, Dr JP Jaiswal, attended to Nhyoo and advised him to do an ECG (Electro Cardiogram) test.
“I took him to the Cath Lab and after I got his ECG report, my team and I admitted him immediately. His right coronary artery was 100 percent blocked. Meaning, if he wasn’t operated on immediately, he could’ve suffered a major heart attack anytime,” Dr Jaiswal said to Republica.
“We operated on him immediately, and his right vein started passing blood to his heart. He had to be admitted for five days under observation. The reason why he suffered this problem is because firstly, his cholesterol level is high, and secondly, he smokes a lot,” Dr Jaiswal revealed. “Now he’s doing fine but it’s high time for him to quit smoking. In recent years, there have been many cases where we have found young people having heart attacks, and smoking is the primary reason.”
“I haven’t stopped breathing, like how a few newspapers recently published my health updates,” Nhyoo said and requested everyone not to get baffled by the news published in Nepali dailies recently. “People are misinformed by the news that said Nhyoo Bajracharya’s windpipe stopped functioning, which meant I died,” the disappointed composer added.
After the misinterpreted news hit the newsstands in the capital, Bajracharya has been receiving a lot of SMS with sympathies for him.
“I’m troubled because people are exaggerating my situation and they are really worried. I’m thankful to them for showing their deep concerns and love and blessing. But I’m not in a bad condition anymore. I’m stable. So don’t get mistaken anymore,” he urged everyone and funnily added, “I remembering talking to you about my New Year’s resolution that I can’t keep. I remember saying I was hoping to quit smoking but I may not be able to do in reality. I guess it’s now time for me to make this resolution come true.”
Nhyoo’s wife Sunima added, “He already has cholesterol and also high blood pressure. Smoking acts as additional poison. I truly wish he gets over this habit soon.”
