Remarkably celebrated Ram Krishna Dhakal and internationally acclaimed tabla percussionist Dheeraj Shrestha are embracing the venue ‘Ukranian Hall, South Brisbane’ together with their musical elegances on 3rd July. $15 and $20 for presale and door prize respectively is worthwhile enough to feel oneself among these masterminds of music. Named as ‘Together in Concert’, it carries enough sparks so as to make a fantastic Good Friday evening because of their highlights organized in association with Australian Education featuring ‘Betrayed Band’ and ‘Bhadra Gurung’.
These two different genres of musicians who will participate in various musical improvisations live on stage together. Dheeraj Shrestha is recognized as the foremost tabla player in Australia. As a performer Dheeraj has established himself, worldwide, as one of the finest exponents of tabla. An irrepressible creativity, tremendous clarity and exciting rhythmic improvisation are his stylistic hallmarks. His easy flowing style of playing sets him apart from other players of international renown. His recent tour highlights include performances at the Royal Albert Hall, London in the presence of Prince Charles and at the renowned Smithsonian Institute in Washington DC, Melbourne Commonwealth Games. He has worked as a professional musician for almost 20 years and taught at the Fine Art College, Tribhuvan University, Kathmandu and now lecturing at the Queensland Conservatorium of Music.
