Celebrities Road Trip To Everest
June 25th, 2009
As you know, Nima Rumba, Suraj Singh Thakuri and Olympian Deepak Bista have challenged the rugged roadways of the Himalayas to conquer it through their adventure event ‘The Yamaha FZ Challenge, Road trip to Everest’. At the same time, you might want to know what they feel for traversing the rocks, washouts, roadbeds, dirt trails and other unpaved environments up the hill towards Everest Base Camp riding the Yamaha FZ bike. The challenge is big but how macho are our celebs to wrestle and face the altitude of 5,200 meters and 1,100 km straight up? Another challenge is the problem of hypobaropathy, the disturbances experienced at high altitudes due to reduced air pressure and lack of oxygen.
Suraj Singh Thakuri is getting his muscles tighter by the day with his regular gym session at ‘Jasmine Fitness Club’. He is excited about the challenge that knocks once in a lifetime. About the breathing, he has his habit of traveling high altitudes. Didn’t we see him traveling in his program ‘Ghjum Gham’? Olympian Deepak Bista shared, ‘I admire the trip beyond doubt and I’m proud to be a part of it.’ This marshal arts master is not very much worried about the altitude sickness, because there is a huge team going along and they have medical kits with them.
Deepak who recently attended a seminar to spread peace information in Jordan least expects to face any physical obstacle; after all no one does regular physical exercises like him. Pop superstar Nima Rumba is yam between these two boulders in the poster and looks very plucky than the other two. He is very sure about his racial power and chuckles, ‘We mongolians do not have altitude sickness, what do you say?’ The power of climbing and fighting with the altitude sickness has already been passed to him.
We all are excited to hear about their travel experience when they complete it.
